Your sponsor tells you to read motivational and self improvement books. He tells you to set goals, to think positive.
Does it work?
How is your business going?
Is your motivation and strong belief in your MLM business attracting prospects to you?
Are prospects beating down your door to see your goal charts?
I would think it is safe to say- probably not.
If you read these books and you are positive about your MLM opportunity- what is the problem with your business? Why are you not sponsoring?
You are doing everything that you are told to do, right?
You do not get paid based on your motivation and goals- you get paid to sponsor. So why are you not sponsoring people?
You and I both know that you have done everything that your sponsor has told you to do. Have you really?
Sure, your sponsor has told you how to BE. BE positive. BE motivated. BE setting goals. BEtter attitude. BElief in your company/products.
Does this really tell you what to DO?
If you are being positive and motivated and if you believe in your company and are setting goals, what are you DOING?
What are you SAYING?
I know how you feel; this is where I was until recently.
But I want to tell you that you need certain skills. You wouldn’t try to ride a bike without first gaining the skills to do so, would you?
According to Tom “Big Al” Schreiter “Skills are knowing exactly what to say, and exactly what to do when talking to a prospect. And if you don’t have skills, well, it’s going to be a hard, hard career!”
I know that this may come as a surprise to some people, but you do have to talk to people in this business. You do have to do something to get the results that you need to get paid!

Skills make it possible and lack of skills is the cause of new distributors not knowing how to contact people.
It seems so simple, but it is the biggest reason new distributors fail!
How do you make sure that this is not you?
Plug into your sponsor or successful up line! Learn the skills needed to succeed! Those skills are going to make you or break you in the network marketing industry.
Skills will help you to know how to react to objections such as “I don’t do sales”, “I am too busy”, “I can’t see myself doing that” and even “I can’t afford to do that”.
Skills will also help you to know what to do when you get a prospect who says “Yes I am interested. Tell me more”.
Your up line or sponsor will be able to teach you what to say. Do 3-way calls between you, your prospect and your successful up line or sponsor.
The 3 way call is a great way to listen in to a successful up line/ sponsor talk to your prospect, answering any and all questions and objections. It is a win-win skill. You will sponsor people and learn this crucial skill by listening to your sponsor over and over.
Another way to learn the skills needed is to see what your company has in your “back office”. What tools do they suggest?
